This run-down of reproductive health events is brought to you by Tori Westman and Sara Yingling.
Last Friday my friend posted me a link to an awesome opportunity to be a part of the GlobalYouthForum. However, I only had about a day to apply and simply did not have enough time to write up some great essays and get my references together.
Ah, well.
But I don’t want any of you to miss out on any great opportunities, so here are some other upcoming things to get involved in:
This deadline is fast approaching on September 28th, 2012 but I’m sure that all of you 16- 24 year olds can do it! You get to win a trip to be a part of the OneVoice: ReproductiveHealthandEnvironmentalSummit in the other Washington. It looks like an amazing opportunity to learn about domestic and global policy, meet other great activists, and have fun!
Our LibertyBallAuction is THIS Saturday, September 22. I kind of want everything there.
Seattle Clinic Defense is hosting an organizing meeting on Sunday at Elliot Bay Books Cafe on Capitol Hill.
Globalfest–Saturday, September 22, 11:00am – 4pm at Center House at The Seattle Center
Global Washington’s Stand for Girls 2012 campaign will bring together 10 small and high impact organizations working in the fields of global health, global education, and economic development. They are working to raise the profile of women’s issues and the Washington-based organizations that address them. This new generation of organizations is ending poverty through targeted work to improve the lives of women and girls worldwide. They are making education accessible, expanding economic opportunities for women, and ensuring the health of mothers and children.
WPIG Silent Auction is on September 22 at 6:30pm, tickets are on sale now!
HalftheSkydocumentary is airing Monday & Tuesday, October 1 & 2 on PBS at 9pm
